Dr. Paul has been treating patients at Ortho Care Physical Therapy, since 1992. He is a graduate of Wayne State University (PT), and Boston University (DPT). He is an avid runner and has been doing Marathons since 1978. Don't hesitate to ask him about his experiences running the Athens Marathon in Greece. If cycling is your passion, don't hesitate to ask about his spring training regime. His expertise in exercise, rehab and prevention are limitless and he enjoys working on personalized exercise programs with patients and friends alike.
Dr. Katie’s educational background is extensive and consists of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, Master’s of Science in Cell Biology from Wayne State University – Master’s Thesis was in Cancer Biology, Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health Sciences from Wayne State University, Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University and completion of her Transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy also from Wayne State University in May of 2009. She also has been very involved in the Michigan Physical Therapy Association - MPTA and Eastern District component of the MPTA serving on the board of directors and committees. She has also been involved with the Special Olympics and Senior Olympics conducting screenings for strength, balance and flexibility over the years.
Kathy has been a Physical Therapist Assistant since graduating from Macomb Community College with an associate degree in 1992. Kathy has also successfully obtained licensure through the State of Michigan. She has gained extensive knowledge and experience in various fields of physical therapy such as acute care in hospitals, nursing homes, neuro-rehab facilities, and outpatient settings. Kathy has earned certificates in extended education classes in Dynamic Stabilization of the lumbar spine, as well as Biodex Isokinetic Testing and Rehabilitation.
Alaina has been a Physical Therapy Assistant since graduating from Baker College 2011. Alaina has also successfully obtained licensure through the State of Michigan and has completed all required educational requirements (CEU). She has an extensive background with aquatic therapy, as well as, treating spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, TBI's and chronic pain. Since joining Ortho Care Physical Therapy, Alaina has further developed her out-patient and orthopedic treatment skills. In addition, she has become proficient in Biodex testing protocols and treatment.
